As a mother and artist, my work is shaped by the literal and figurative experience of creating alongside my children. I continually come back to the concept of parallel play, where young children exist together yet play independently. This duality mirrors the ultimate complexity of motherhood; maintaining personal identity while nurturing our children. My art reflects the complicated interplay of connection and autonomy, not just between mothers and children, but in all relationships. It explores how we coexist, interact, and support one another while preserving our sense of self. Through playful forms and thoughtful compositions, I seek to express this delicate balance.
